The Centering Head holds the blade at a 45° angle relative to machined 90° surfaces. Marking the two diagonals of a square locates center. It’s even easier to find the center of a circle…just hold the Centering Head against the circle in any two different spots and strike a line across the diameter. The intersection is the dead center of your circle. Opposite the 90° centering guides, the back side of the Centering Head locks in with the indexing feature so you can scribe without changing heads.
The Center Finder comes with a 6" blade and a wall-mountable Rack-It™ that keeps it safe, but always in plain sight and ready for the next project.
Like all Woodpeckers products, the in-DEXABLE™ Center Finder is proudly machined and carefully inspected in the Strongsville, OH facility, just south of Cleveland.
Features:
- 6" blade has laser-cut scribing guides on 1/16" centers
- Scales have 1/16" graduations on one edge and 1/32" on the other, accurate to ± 0.004" total cumulative error
- Back side is squared off to allow use of scribing guides and indexing feature
- Rack-It™ included for wall mounting
