18-Note Music Box Movement with When You Wish Upon a Star

Long before the phonograph was invented, the cylinder musical movement was the only method for people to listen to recorded music in their homes. A cylinder musical movement is comprised of a pre-tuned comb and a horizontally placed pinned barrel that produces varied and complex sounds. This WoodRiver® kit features Sankyo movements that are manufactured in Taiwan to the highest standards and materials. The movement has a wire stopper that allows the movement to be turned off/on with the opening and closing of the lid. This is an optional feature as the movement can be installed without the wire stopper by loosening the screw and removing the stopper mechanism.
